Gradu su potrebni heroji. Tama se nadvila nad Njujork jer Šreder i njegovi zli pomoćnici drže u strahu sve od policije do političara. Budućnost je crna sve dok se ne pojave četiri neobična brata iz kanalizacije koji će otkriti svoju budućnost kao tinejdž mutanti nindža kornjače. Kornjače će morati da rade sa neustrašivom novinarkom Ejpril Onil (Megan Foks) i njenim sarkastičnim kamermanom Vernom Fenvikom (Vil Arnet) kako bi spasili grad i razotkrili Šrederov pakleni plan.
